De Hanoi a Ninh Binh en tren / Hanoi to Ninh Binh by train.

Decidimos ir a Ninh Binh en tren, aunque la gente local nos decía que no lo hiciéramos pero no daban mucha explicación a esa negativa.

Lo que nos decidió a viajar en tren fueron dos cosas: la primera era cambiar un poco el transporte ya que solemos tomar buses para movernos. La segunda: el lugar en que te deja el tren es super claro... en cambio con el bus hemos leído que te deja en diferentes lugares o donde se le ocurre al chofer, vaya unx a saber.

Sacamos los pasajes de tren online, usando una página súper económica en comparación con otras y enseguida tuvimos nuestros pasajes listos.

El día de subirnos al tren, sabíamos que viajaríamos en 'asientos duros' (hard seats) pero no imaginábamos que eran TAN duros. Pero no importaba.

El viaje de Hanoi a Ninh Binh dura unas 2 horas y media aproximadamente.

El tren no tuvo ningún problema en el camino, salió a horario, llegó a horario a destino, todo perfecto su servicio.

Lo único que reprobamos con mucha energía es que, como en todo Vietnam, se fuma en los vagones... por lo general los hombres (te contamos por qué sólo los hombres fuman en Vietnam) se iba a las intersecciones de los vagones, ahí adentro mismo del vagón pero corrido de los asientos... en fin...

La cuestión es que los trenes tienen cargadores de celulares, mesitas compartidas entre 4 asientos y mucha mucha mucha gente descalza y durmiendo en cualquier lado. Este detalle no lo hace despectivo al viaje, sino por el contrario... llamativo. Es increíble cómo a lxs vietnamitas no les importa el dónde ni el cuándo, si hay sueño, se duerme y punto.

Llegamos a Ninh Binh y nos tomamos un Grab hasta el hostel donde nos hospedamos. Hermoso hostel con desayuno incluido, habitación para dos con baño privado y heladerita.

Muy contentas con nuestra elección de viajar en tren, toda experiencia nueva es bien recibida.

We decided to go to Ninh Binh by train, although the local people told us not to do it but didn't give much explanation to that refusal.

What decided us to travel by train were two things: the first was to change the transport a bit since we usually take buses to move. The second: the place where the train leaves you is super clear ... instead with the bus we have read that it leaves you in different places or where it occurs to the driver, who knows. We took the train tickets online, using a super cheap page compared to others and then we had our tickets ready.

On the day of getting on the train, we knew we would travel in 'hard seats' but we did not imagine that they were SO hard. But it didn't matter.

The trip from Hanoi to Ninh Binh takes about 2 and a half hours. The train had no problem on the way, it left on time, arrived on time at destination, all perfect its service. The only thing we reproach with a lot of energy is that, as in all of Vietnam, you can smoke in the cars ... usually men (we tell you why only men smoke in Vietnam) went to the intersections of the cars, there inside the car but run from the seats ... anyway ... The point is that the trains have cell phone chargers, bedside tables shared between 4 seats and many many many people barefoot and sleeping anywhere. This detail does not make him derogatory to the trip, but on the contrary ... striking. It is amazing how Vietnamese do not care where or when, if there is sleep, they fall asleep, period.

We arrived at Ninh Binh and took a Grab to the hostel where we stayed. Beautiful hostel with breakfast included, room for two with private bathroom and a little fridge.
